Pascal Arnoux is the fourth generation to run this family estate, founded in the 1920s and now spanning about twenty hectares across nearly as many appellations, working alongside wife Caroline and children Audrey and Jean-Baptiste. This 1er Cru comes from a single 0.27-hectare parcel planted in 1965 on south-east-facing, gravelly clay-limestone soil at 320m elevation, aged 12 months in barrel (about 15-20% new oak) then 3-4 months in tank.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby robe; a concentrated, charming nose of ripe black fruits leads to a robust, powerful structure with rich, dense fruit and elegant texture. Aging potential of 4-10 years.
