Profile & Story

Robert Barbichon is a fourth-generation, Demeter-certified biodynamic family estate (9 hectares) around Gyé-sur-Seine, Courteron, and Celles-sur-Ource in Champagne's Côte des Bar (Aube), farming Kimmeridgean limestone soils similar to Chablis. This Blanc de Noirs is based on the 2018 vintage, fermented in stainless steel, aged roughly 8 months in a mix of steel and oak vats, then given extended lees aging (about 3 years total) in bottle.

Tasting Notes

Faint peach hue with a fine, persistent bead. Floral and red-fruited nose of wild strawberry and sour cherry with crushed herbs; bright, vibrant palate with orange oil and minerality, finishing with a hint of biscuit and toast.
