Profile & Story
Warre's, founded in 1670, was the first British Port house established in Portugal and has been owned by the Symington family since 1905. This bottling is an unusual single-harvest ('Single Year Tawny'/Colheita) release under the Otima label -- Otima is normally a blended-age 10-Year tawny, so a true single-vintage 1992 bottling is a special, limited release. Sourced from Warre's Quinta da Cavadinha and Quinta do Retiro, aged for decades in seasoned oak in the Vila Nova de Gaia lodges.
Tasting Notes
Subtle aromas of honeysuckle, butterscotch and marzipan with delicate hints of honey and walnuts; silky smooth on the palate with citrus and sweet orange notes, and hints of cinnamon and cardamom-dusted pastry.
