About the Wine
estate vineyard in Goulburn Valley. The 2022 season was cooler and wetter, allowing for slow, healthy ripening and slightly above-average yields. Grapes were wild fermented on full skins in beeswax-lined concrete vats and stainless steel, with full malolactic fermentation in old oak. Aged for 10 months in barrel and 2 months in bulk before bottling. Alcohol: 13%.
Tasting Notes
Dark red cherries, forest floor, sun-kissed green strawberries, lilly pilly (a native red tart berry), crushed herbs, dried violets, and faint whiffs of leather round out the aromas. The palate gives round vibes with a light grip. Easy and gulpable, without sacrificing complexity and food-friendliness.
