Domaine Victor Sornin is Frederic Sornin's Beaujolais estate in Regnie-Durette, farmed organically and named for his son and now co-vigneron Victor. 'Les Monthieux' Chardonnay comes from a single sandy-granite vineyard in Lantignie planted with 40+ year old vines, hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel, then aged without oak to preserve its freshness.
Tasting Notes
Kept off oak entirely, it shows clean, precise fruit with a bright, mineral-driven freshness typical of granite-soil Beaujolais Chardonnay.
