Dominio del Urogallo is a biodynamic estate in Cangas del Narcea, Asturias, farming steep slate, quartz and anthracite vineyards planted with native grapes. The 'AT-VN-MN' bottling blends Red Albarin, Red Verdejo Negro and Mencia from young (15-30 year old) vines: fully destemmed, fermented in stainless steel, then put through malolactic fermentation and 6-9 months' aging in well-used French oak barriques before further bottle aging.
Tasting Notes
An easy-drinking, food-friendly red with the brisk acidity and mineral edge typical of Asturias' slate soils, framed by soft, well-integrated oak from its time in used French barriques.

The producer recommends it as an appetizer wine and with all kinds of tapas, and notes it works well with pasta and stews.
