Profile & Story
Vina Maitia farms old, dry-farmed vines on the sandy Secano Interior of Chile's Maule Valley. 'Aupa' Vino Blanco is a traditional field blend built from whatever white and light-skinned grapes are co-planted in a given old-vine parcel - the label has featured Pedro Ximenez and Pais, and other vintages a Torontel/Semillon mix - fermented and aged in concrete or stainless steel, which gives the wine its light copper-orange hue.
Tasting Notes
Primary and fruit-driven, with crunchy white and yellow fruit and a touch of orchard blossom; a light skin-contact treatment gives it a pale copper color and a fresh, juicy palate.
