Profile & Story
Château Rastouillet Lescure has been a member of the Union de Producteurs de Saint-Émilion since 1955. The estate sits southeast of the Saint-Émilion appellation in the village of Saint-Hippolyte and has been farmed as a métayage between the Dumery and Duverger families for nearly 50 years. Its 8 hectares of clay-limestone and sandy soils are planted mainly to Merlot with Cabernet Franc, vines averaging 40 years old; the estate is Agriconfiance and ISO 14001 certified and exports to more than a dozen countries.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby colour with aromas blending ripe fruits and spices; a supple, well-balanced wine with a touch of liveliness on the finish.
