Profile & Story
Podere La Berta, an early pioneer of quality winemaking in Romagna, overlooks the hills of Brisighella in the first Tuscan-Romagnol Apennines. Since 2009 it has been owned by the Poggiali family of Fattoria di Felsina, who farm its 22 hectares of clay-rich terrain using the same practices applied at their Tuscan estate. This Sangiovese Superiore undergoes malolactic fermentation and maturation in steel, with at least three months of bottle aging.
Tasting Notes
Bright ruby red, with aromas of small red and black fruits, spice, and subtle toasted, mineral notes. Fresh, enveloping, and lively on the palate, with soft, fragrant tannins and a persistent finish.
