George Skouras founded his eponymous winery in 1986 after studying oenology in Dijon and working in leading French wine regions, becoming a driving force behind the modern renaissance of Greek wine. St. George is sourced from high-elevation Nemea vineyards planted on clay soils at around 650 meters, where slow ripening preserves natural acidity and aromatic clarity; the wine undergoes a gentle cold soak and extraction, then ages in French barriques, about half of them neutral.
