Profile & Story

Breaking Bread Wines works with organically and sustainably farmed North Coast vineyards. Marmalade, now in its fourth release, is a skin-contact white blended from 50% Muscat Blanc, 25% Chardonnay and 25% Sauvignon Blanc — the Muscat and Sauvignon Blanc from the sustainably farmed Timber Crest Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley, the Chardonnay from the certified-organic Mizany Vineyard. Each variety is macerated separately on its skins — ten days for the Chardonnay, twelve for the Muscat, fourteen for the Sauvignon Blanc — then fermented entirely in neutral French oak.

Tasting Notes

A radiant golden hue, with bright orange zest, apricot glaze and delicate florals on the nose. The palate is lively and textural, balancing zippy acidity against grainy tannins and a lingering, savoury finish.
