I Pentri 'Kerres' Piedirosso Beneventano 2021

Profile & Story

I Pentri takes its name from the ancient Samnite tribe of the area and was founded in 2002 by Dionisio Meola and Lia Falato (joined by Alessandro) in Castelvenere, in the Sannio hills of Benevento, between Monte Taburno and the Matese mountains. All fruit comes from the family's own ten hectares, farmed with spontaneous cover cropping and no synthetic fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides, hand-harvested with careful selection. 'Kerres' is 100% Piedirosso, macerated in stainless steel with fermentation finishing in wood and no fining; it ages one year in French oak before further bottle aging, unfined and unfiltered.
