Poderi Luigi Einaudi is a historic estate in Dogliani, Piedmont, with vineyards spread across prime sites in Barolo, Verduno, Monforte d'Alba and Neive. 'Ludo' is the estate's classic Barolo, made from Nebbiolo grown on the winery's younger holdings within the Barolo production zone; roughly 30,000 bottles are produced annually, with tannins structured for long aging -- 20 years in the best vintages.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant red color, turning slightly amber with age, with an exuberant fragrance of fruit and spice. Full-bodied and velvety on the palate, closing with a long finish of tar (goudron) and spice.
