The Laboucarie family has farmed Domaine de Fontsainte since 1971, in the Boutenac sub-zone of Corbieres near the Mediterranean; Bruno Laboucarie has run the estate since 1993, continuing his father Yves's practice of carbonic maceration. The Corbieres Rouge blends two parts Carignan with one part Grenache and a splash of Syrah, sourced from old vines whose deep roots draw water through the region's warm, sea-breeze-cooled vineyards.
