Profile & Story
Mas Peyre was founded in 2003 by the Bourrel family, who left their local cooperative to farm organically in the high Agly Valley of Roussillon. 'La Cuvee Peyre' is predominantly Grenache Blanc with a small portion of Vermentino from the schist-laden Espanel vineyard, fermented in new 220-liter Allier oak and aged five months on the lees in stainless steel, bottled without added sulfites.
Tasting Notes
Ample and lively with a strikingly mineral core; pear, acacia and linden blossom notes, finished with a saline, stony edge from the schist soils.
