Profile & Story

Roberto Henríquez trained in agronomy and enology at the University of Concepción before working with winemakers in Canada, South Africa, and the Loire Valley (with René Mossé), and founded his own project in Chile's Itata Valley in the mid-2010s. He works exclusively with centuries-old, dry-farmed, bush-trained vines on the granitic Coastal Cordillera, farming personally with the help of draft animals. This bottling comes from a plot of Semillón vines roughly 150 years old, about 8 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean, on the valley's granitic soils.
