Profile & Story
Matthieu Barret founded Domaine du Coulet in 1998 at age 23 and has farmed it biodynamically and organically since the early 2000s. Billes Noires is sourced from three parcels planted in 1920, 1956 and 1981 on deeply decomposed granite, fermented with native yeast and aged in concrete vats without new oak.
Tasting Notes
Deep and concentrated, powerful with good balance; ripe red fruit, spice and white pepper aromatics, silky tannin texture, and a fresh, mineral finish with real aging potential.
