Finca El Origen was founded in 1996 in Vista Flores, in Mendoza's Uco Valley, at 1,200 meters above sea level in the shadow of the Andes. The winery frames its high-altitude vineyards through their geological history, once an ocean, then mountains, giving the wines a distinctive mountain character.
Tasting Notes
Intense violet in color, with aromas of red fruit, violet, vanilla and cigar box. The palate shows black fruit and spice, medium structure, silky tannins and natural acidity through a long finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Leaner red meats, creamy mushroom sauces, and melted or blue cheese.
