Profile & Story
Mastroberardino is Campania's most historically important estate, widely credited with preserving Aglianico, Greco and Fiano through the twentieth century. Its Falanghina del Sannio comes from the Sannio hills in the province of Benevento, grown on volcanic sandy-loam soils and fermented and rested briefly in stainless steel to preserve the fresh fruit. 12.5% alcohol.
Tasting Notes
Pale lemon-green. Aromas of ripe pineapple, citrus fruits and white flowers, with honeysuckle and toasted almond on the palate lifted by lively acidity and a saline finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Richer fish and shellfish dishes, or lighter risottos.
