Maison Foucher is a third-generation Loire Valley negociant house based in Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire, founded in 1921 by the Lubrun-Foucher family and today guided by Jean Mounard. The Cuvee des Roys de Naples Cremant de Loire is a traditional-method blend of 50% Chenin Blanc, 25% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Noir from vineyards around Montlouis-sur-Loire, aged sur latte for roughly 24 months -- twice the appellation minimum.
Tasting Notes
Bright and complex on the nose with lemon, quince, flinty minerality and a touch of bread dough; the palate is lean and fresh, showing green apple, pear and white nectarine with a gentle mousse.
