Originally created for the private enjoyment of the Juve family - hence its name: Reserva de la Familia. This Brut Nature was first released to the public in 1976 and soon went beyond its original purpose to become the winery's most iconic sparkling wine. Made exclusively from the free-run juice of a traditional blend of Xarel-lo, Macabeo and Parellada, the grapes come from organically farmed vineyards located on the estates of Espiells, La Cuscona and Can Massana. Producer's technical sheet (current release): traditional method, 50% Xarel-lo / 35% Macabeo / 15% Parellada, more than 30 months on lees (the winery states 36 months sur lie on average), Brut Nature (no dosage), 12% ABV; vineyards at Espiells, La Cuscona and Mediona on loam-calcareous and clay-calcareous soils, certified organic viticulture.
