Quinta do Noval, in the Douro's Pinhao valley, has been making fine Ports since 1715 and is today part of AXA Millesimes. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cao and Sousao predominate among the traditional grape varieties of the Demarcated Region of the Douro Valley used for this wine. The grapes were trodden by foot and fermented in the traditional lagares of the Quinta, to obtain the best extraction. Noval Tawny 10 Year Old is a blend of old Ports from different vintages, with an average age of 10 years, matured in 640-litre wooden casks called cascos. 19.5% vol., 750 ml, bottled by Quinta do Noval - Vinhos S.A., Vale de Mendiz, Portugal.
