Profile & Story
La Spinetta is a Piedmont estate with vineyards across several of Italy's wine regions. This Barbera d'Asti Superiore comes from vineyards in Castagnole delle Lanze, Costigliole d'Asti, and Montegrosso d'Asti, planted on south-facing calcareous marl at around 300 meters, with an average vine age of 40 years. The wine ferments in temperature-controlled steel for 14-15 days, completes malolactic fermentation in used French oak, and ages a minimum of six months in barrel before further time in bottle.
