Profile & Story
Lúuma began in 2016 as a joint project between the Mariani brothers of Scribe Winery and Matthew Plympton and Tom Hunter of Revel Wine, named after Péta Lúuma, the original Miwok name for the village that became Petaluma. Its Cabernet Sauvignon, added to the lineup in 2018, is sourced from the Oak Knoll district of Napa Valley and made by John Harley and AJ Filipelli of Inizi Wines from organically grown grapes with minimal additions or manipulation.
Tasting Notes
Cherry, blackberry, and cassis lead, layered with brambly fruit spice, chocolate, and a subtle minerality — food-friendly and balanced, with round, well-integrated tannins.
