Profile & Story

Omen Wines, part of Atlas Wine Co., was founded in 2015 by Mike Cybulski and Barry Bell, who together own and manage more than 3,000 acres of vineyards across Napa and Sonoma counties; winemaker Alexandre Remy later joined to help craft the range. The Origins Zinfandel comes from a vineyard in the Fair Play AVA of the Sierra Foothills at 2,400 feet elevation, on deep granite soils with a Gold Rush-era legacy. Grapes are individually picked, crushed, and de-stemmed, given a 3-day cold soak, fermented at 85°F with 10-20 days of extensive skin maceration, then aged and blended in French oak for 9 months.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby red color in the glass, with notes of raspberry and strawberry backed by a meaty structure. The palate is rich and focused, with a touch of spice and baking notes, melting tannins, and great length on the finish.

Pairing Recommendation

Ideal with a classic burger, meaty pasta sauce, or spicy tacos, and pairs well with cheeses like Asiago, Cheddar, and Manchego.
