Zeitgeist Cellars makes a tiny-production Chenin Blanc from a rare, old-vine planting in St. Helena that winemakers Jennifer Williams and Mark Porembski have worked with since 2014. Of the more than 2,000 acres of Chenin Blanc planted in Napa Valley in the 1980s, only about 18 acres remain, making this a genuinely rare bottling; fewer than 150 cases are produced each vintage, fermented by native yeast and aged sur lie in used French oak barrels for 6 months.
