Profile & Story
Tselepos Wines was founded in 1989 by Yiannis and Amalia Tselepos; Yiannis studied oenology in Dijon, worked in Burgundy, and settled in Mantinia, in the Peloponnese, in 1981, where he became known for reviving the indigenous Moschofilero grape as a mono-varietal wine. 'Blanc de Gris' is sourced from the privately owned Perpatiara vineyard at 750 meters, with part of the must fermented in stainless steel, part in amphorae and part in large oak tanks, resting on fine lees for about four months.
Tasting Notes
The wine shows exuberant aromas of white flowers, citrus fruit and orange blossom over a rich mouthfeel, with pronounced intensity, considerable body and high acidity.
Pairing Recommendation
Pairs well with white meat and cooked fish in acidic or spicy sauces.
