Domaine Yves Martin is a small, family-run estate farming nineteen hectares of vines in the village of Chavignol, at the heart of the Sancerre appellation; winemaker Pierre Martin took over from his father Yves in 2005 and the domaine is in conversion to organic viticulture, using no herbicides or pesticides. The Sauvignon Blanc is grown on Chavignol's limestone-rich terroir, fermented naturally with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, and aged on its fine lees until bottling.
