Proprietà Sperino's hillside estate in Lessona, Alto Piemonte was founded in the 19th century by Casimiro Sperino and revived starting in 1999 by Paolo De Marchi (of Isole e Olena in Chianti Classico) and his son Luca. Luca De Marchi created Rosa del Rosa in 2005 as one of the first Nebbiolo-based rosés in Alto Piemonte; the wine is roughly 90% Nebbiolo and 10% Vespolina, given a short skin maceration before finishing a few months on the lees.
