Made at Ridge Vineyards' Lytton Springs winery in Healdsburg, Three Valleys is the estate's largest-production wine, drawing fruit from Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma Valley and Russian River Valley. The 2023 blends 71% Zinfandel, 16% Carignane, 9% Petite Sirah, 2% Mataro and 2% Alicante Bouschet, made with native-yeast fermentation in open-top fermenters and aged in American oak, about 10% new, in keeping with Ridge's traditional methods.
Tasting Notes
An abundance of black fruit layered with crushed floral tones; lightly grippy tannins carry hints of baking spice and toast through to the finish.
