The Germano family has grown grapes in Serralunga d'Alba since 1856; small-scale estate bottling began in 1987 under Ettore Germano, and the winery has been run since 1993 by fourth-generation Sergio Germano. This Langhe Nebbiolo comes from the estate's youngest Barolo-vineyard vines (planted 1990-2000), certified organic, at about 385 meters on limestone-clay soil, with a short maceration and six months of aging in stainless steel.
