Clos des Ursules, a 1.23-hectare walled monopole within the Beaune Premier Cru 'Vignes Franches,' was the first vineyard Maison Louis Jadot acquired, in 1826, taking its name from the Ursuline nuns who previously owned it; it was granted its own 1er Cru status in 2011. The wine is 100% Pinot Noir, destemmed and fermented in open tanks for up to a month, then aged 15-18 months in oak barrels.
