Weingut Daniel Vollenweider, founded in 2000 in the Mosel, farms 12.4 acres of mostly ungrafted, old-vine Riesling on extremely steep slopes; Moritz Hoffmann, apprentice to Daniel Vollenweider, took over as winemaker after Daniel's death in 2022 and achieved organic certification in 2023. Felsenfest, the estate's entry-level trocken bottling, draws on three sites: Wolfer Goldgrube, old vines in Trarbacher Burgberg, and the blue-slate Kröver Steffensberg.
