Côte des Roses celebrates the Mediterranean lifestyle of the Languedoc, whose vineyards stretch along the coast on limestone, schist and river gravels. Its bottle is famously finished with a rose-shaped base designed by a young École Boulle designer — "a wine to be given the way you would offer a bunch of roses." Grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, gently pressed for first-run juice and bottled early to preserve freshness.
Tasting Notes
Soft, pale, brilliant pink with bluish tints that turn more orange over time. The bouquet offers summer fruits, cassis and redcurrant, with floral rose notes and hints of grapefruit. Fresh and full on the palate, with great aromatic persistence and balance; the finish is fresh, with notes of candy.
Pairing Recommendation
Ideal at 10°C as an aperitif, or with shellfish and subtly spiced dishes.
