Antoine-Marie Arena is the son of famed Corsican producer Antoine Arena of Patrimonio. As of the 2014 vintage, Antoine Arena divided his holdings among his sons Antoine-Marie and Jean-Baptiste, who now each farm and vinify their own parcels while continuing their father's organic, natural-wine philosophy. His 'B.G.' bottling is 100% Biancu Gentile, a nearly extinct native Corsican variety that Antoine Arena helped rescue in the 1990s from a single surviving vineyard. This parcel, planted in 1997 on clay and limestone soils, is hand-harvested and organically farmed; the wine ferments with indigenous yeast and ages on fine lees in stainless steel tanks, completing malolactic fermentation. Around 13% ABV per the label.
