Memoria is Antoine-Marie Arena's tribute cuvee to his family's oldest vines: a parcel of Niellucciu in the heart of the village of Patrimonio, planted by his great-grandfather in the 1920s — the oldest parcel in the appellation — farmed organically on schist soils around the family house. It is 100% Niellucciu, hand-harvested and fermented with indigenous yeast; it is the only Arena cuvee aged in barrel (old 350-liter barrels).
Tasting Notes
Aromas of garrigue, preserved fruit, and camphor open after a few minutes in the glass, with a formidable balance of power and finesse on the palate (per official importer/producer notes).
