Tarra di Sognu ("land of dreams") is Clos Canarelli's project in Bonifacio, at the southern tip of Corsica, planted on pure white limestone soil that is geologically distinct from the granite defining the rest of the Figari appellation. The Blanc is roughly 80% Vermentinu with Rimenese, Carcaghjolu Biancu, Genovese, and Biancu Gentile. Whole clusters are pressed directly at harvest; the wine is fermented in tank, then aged 24 months on lees in barrel, completing malolactic fermentation.
