Profile & Story
Domaine Leccia is a family estate in Poggio d'Oletta, in the heart of the Patrimonio appellation, that has been producing wine since around 1900. Now stewarded by Annette Leccia, the 13-hectare estate is farmed organically (Ecocert FR-BIO-01) on clay-limestone soil with scattered schist outcroppings. This Patrimonio Blanc is 100% Vermentinu (locally called Malvoisie). The grapes are manually harvested, whole-bunch pressed, and fermented with native yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel at 18°C for about 25 days, then aged 6 months on fine lees in stainless steel. Alcohol around 13%.
Tasting Notes
Clear, pale yellow in color. An elegant, complex bouquet combines white flowers, flint, lime-blossom honey, and citrus. The palate is full-bodied with a balance of freshness and complexity, closing on an elegant, iodized, saline finish of great persistence.
