Domaine Mondange is a family estate on Corsica's eastern coast in Ghisonaccia, created in 2017 by siblings Laura and Andria Mondange after years of selling their grapes to the local cooperative. The vineyard sits largely on a clay-based plateau between 100-150m altitude, 10km from the sea, with a portion planted on rolled river stones; it is HVE-certified and in conversion to organic (AB) farming. The Laudria range takes its name from Laura and Andria themselves and represents the wild, singular character of eastern Corsica. Laudria Rouge blends Sciaccarellu, Grenache, Niellucciu, Minustellu and Syrah from vines averaging 25 years old, trained in cordon de Royat at 4,000 vines/ha with yields around 35 hL/ha. Grapes are hand-harvested in crates, in the morning only, then destemmed; the wine undergoes a long maceration with delestage and daily alternating pump-overs and punch-downs, fermenting at 26-28C in concrete tank, where it is also aged.
