Domaine Zuria (Christian & Nadine Zuria) farms organically on the high, windswept limestone-and-granite plateau above Bonifacio, at the southern tip of Corsica, working indigenous varieties including the rare Moresconu alongside Sciaccarellu. The DZ Bonifacio Rouge 2016 is a 70% Sciaccarellu / 30% Moresconu blend grown on clay-limestone soil, hand-harvested and destemmed, with malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, pumped over and vatted for 8-12 days, then aged 15 months split evenly between stainless steel tanks and oak barrels.
