Bodegas Martinez Corta is located in Urunuela, in the heart of Rioja Alta, and has been the most important wine estate in the village since the 1960s, still elaborating in a medieval cellar on the property. Cepas Antiguas is made from 225 acres of old-vine, head-pruned Tempranillo across Urunuela, Cenicero and San Asensio, all at least 40 years old and planted on high slopes poor in organic matter, with little or no oak influence.
