Domaine des Ouled Thaleb is Morocco's oldest winery, founded in 1927. The Syrocco project was conceived by the legendary Rhone winemaker Alain Graillot, who saw striking parallels between this Atlantic-influenced landscape and his home vineyards; following his passing in 2022 the wine continues under winemaker Stephane Marriot. Grapes are grown organically in the hills of Morocco's Zenata region at 500 meters elevation, on red and black clay over limestone and ancient ocean-bed soils, finishing at 13 percent alcohol.
