Morenita, meaning the little brunette, refers to the rich brown color of this Cream sherry from Emilio Hidalgo, founded in 1874 in Jerez. Created by a close family friend and local grower in the 1970s, it was designed to mimic the classic Jerezano tavern blend of mixing Fino and Pedro Ximenez, giving it a rich brown color with dark golden highlights.
Tasting Notes
Delicate cream style with hints of caramel, dried fruit and mocha on the nose; smooth and elegant with well-balanced sweetness, shifting from ripe apricot and peach to nuts and saline, then coffee, brown sugar, cinnamon, clove and mild chocolate.
