Profile & Story
Cantina Lavis, founded in 1948 and headquartered in La-Vis, is one of Trentino's leading cooperatives, drawing on roughly 750 hectares farmed by some 800 member growers at altitudes of 200-800 meters. Chardonnay -- introduced to the Lavis and Pressano vineyards over a century ago -- is hand harvested in early September, gently pressed, fermented at controlled temperature in stainless steel, and aged on the lees for 5-6 months before bottling.
Tasting Notes
Pale yellow with green highlights; fruity bouquet of golden apple and pineapple with notes of candied orange zest and blossom honey; full and well-balanced with fresh acidity and a saline finish.

The producer suggests pairing with shrimp and fish-based risotto, or ricotta and spinach ravioli.
