Profile & Story
Fattoria La Lecciaia, purchased by Mauro Pacini in 1983, expanded into Montecucco (Grosseto Province) in 2003, planting 16 hectares mainly to Sangiovese alongside Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This Cabernet Sauvignon is hand harvested in late September/early October, vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel, then aged 18 months in a mix of Slavonian oak casks and barrique.
Tasting Notes
Ruby garnet red with a slight purple rim; aromas and flavors of black fruit, dust and earthy notes typical of Cabernet Sauvignon grown in Tuscany's Maremma.
