Profile & Story
Vallepicciola is an estate in the Chianti Classico zone; this Vinsanto is made from a blend of White Malvasia and Trebbiano Toscano, dried and pressed in the traditional method, then aged a minimum of six years in small oak casks (caratelli) before bottling.
Tasting Notes
Deep amber-gold in color; concentrated aromas of dried apricot, honey and toasted nuts typical of long-aged Vinsanto; rich, sweet palate balanced by bright acidity and a long finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Traditionally served with cantucci (Tuscan almond biscotti) for dipping, in the classic Tuscan style.
