About the Wine

Another road trip, actually airplanes and Uhauls. A continuous mobile link with the grower/winery and a few wrong-turn excursions. It's so not fun when you're alone. This varietal was taken in must/juice form. With a quick stop at Scott Labs for nutrients and yeast. Upon arrival back at the winery, the work began. Transfer to a stainless steel tank and begin fermentation immediately. The anticipation produced what I was hoping for: acidity and lingering fruit. For 5 months in a perfect climate-controlled environment, "darn cold", the second racking helped produce a shockingly clear wine with a pleasing crispness. It's Bliss...

Tasting Notes

It's acidic with a spicy/fruity sidekick; think grapefruit and white peach. We'll call her "Bliss"! Her mouthfeel holds onto every sensory available and dissipates with grace yet lingers long enough for you to want more.

Pairing Notes

You're grilling herbed provolone cheese and lemon butter trout on the outdoor grill in a cast iron skillet. The temp is 70 degrees with a light breeze. While grilling, and when you sit to enjoy your meal, you're reaching for the Arneis. You take a bite of cheese and then the trout. It's finished with a sip and the compliments of all three are front and present.
