About the Wine

This unnamed vineyard is a two acre family plot expertly tended by a fellow winemaker friend, who rehabbed this vineyard and has been dry farming it for several years. When they called with a small amount of extra fruit, I was excited to be able to work with it. Cold foggy mornings made this a very late pick on the last day of September. The fruit was half destemmed, half whole cluster, receiving two punchdowns daily until nearly, when it was pressed and racked into neutral barrels to age until the next August. This “baby Pinot” is light bodied, showing lots of fresh red fruits, a touch of spice, and just a hint of the signature earthiness common to Russian River Valley Pinot. 20ppm total SO2 WINeFare attendees use code WINEFARE15 for a discount on online purchases
