Profile & Story
La Meirana is Broglia's flagship wine, named for the family's historic estate in the Gavi commune, first documented in 971 AD and today the largest contiguous single-variety property in the appellation. The 100% Cortese fruit comes from roughly 30-year-old vines on clay-marl soil at 290-300m, fermented and aged 6 months in stainless steel on the lees before a further 2 months of bottle aging.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw yellow with green reflections; a fine, delicate bouquet of peach, melon and pink grapefruit with hints of anise and flowers; fresh and balanced on the palate with a long fruity finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Ideal as an aperitif; pairs well with grilled fish, sea-salt bream and fish soup.
