Vallepicciola is a Tuscan estate in Castelnuovo Berardenga farming 105 hectares under sustainable agriculture. Pievasciata Pinot Nero is hand-harvested in late August from the estate's Pinot Noir vineyards, fermented in temperature-controlled wooden conical vats with a 7-day post-fermentation maceration, undergoes malolactic fermentation in second- and third-passage barriques, and is aged in wood for 6-8 months.

Pairing Recommendation

The producer suggests pairing with mushroom or lentil dishes served at standard red-wine temperature, or, chilled, with fish dishes such as cacciucco or tuna tataki.
